Carl Grimes x Reader Chapter 4

Next morning you, Carl, and Sofia go to the top of the hill to play. You three were playing tag when a deer comes then a walker comes up from the trees biting the deer from rhe hind and pulling it down. This make you all scream running back to the others to avoid it. The adults hear this and come crashing into your aides.

Rick, Shane, Morales, and T-Dog take out the walker slicing its neck, separating it from its body. Then the trees rustles again. The men prepares their we then it comes out revealing Daryl.

"Big brother Daryl!" You shout causing him to look at you. "Hello there little sister." Daryl says hugging you back. He then looks at the walker preparing his crossbow to shoot. "What the heck people. Shoot the head." He releases his arrow and it hit the walker perfectly on the head. Everyone is shock from this but stays silent not to anger the hunter.

Daryl turns to the deer. "Damn. I have been hinting this deer for weeks. Maybe we can cur down this part and get the other." He suggest pointing to the bitten part of the deer. "We can't take any chances." Shane replies going back to the camp and everyone follows.

"Glad you're back." You say hugging his feet. "Me too kiddo." He wraps an arm around you hugging you. "Come on let's go to Merle." He holds your hand leading you to the camp. 'He won't like this.' You think.

You and Daryl arrive at the camp. He is looking for Merle but found no sign. "Hey guys. Where the fuck is my big brother?" He asks. Everybody stays silent except Shane. "We can explain. Its just that he is not here." He says slowly to make Daryl calm but it didn't.

"I know everyone is scared to tell this to you but I handcuffed him on the rooftop because of his actions." Rick calmly says standing on his ground. Daryl let go of your hand and goes to Rick grabbing his collar. "Why the fuck did you handcuff him on the rooftop? I'm gonna fucking kill you." Daryl angrily says.

"It's my fault. I dropped the keys." T-Dog intercepts. "Can't get the damn keys." He looks at T-Dog angrily. "Well I dropped it in the drain." Daryl comes to him and grabs his collar trying to suffocate him. Rick points a gun at him. "Kill him and I'll kill you." Daryl lets go of him and goes to his crossbow and carries. He begins to move in to the road.

"Where are you going big brother?" You question him not wanting him to leave you. "To find your big brother Merle." He says continuing in his way. "Stop! You can't go alone." Rick stops him from walking. "What the heck am I supposed to the here when my brother is outside chained to a pipe with walkers!" Daryl shouts at them wanting to save Merle.

"We'll come with you." Rick puts his weapon back and looks at Glenn wanting him to come. "Fine. I'm going too." Glenn follows Rick. "I'll go too since it's my fault also I left Dale's tools." T-Dog prepares his weapon. "What you can't go there for him it's too dangerous." Shane says wanting them to not look for that jackass. "I left my weapons there the one I took from the police office. Don't worry." Rick reassures. Shane nods and prepares them.

Rick, Gelnn, Daryl, and T-Dog are preparing to go back to Atlanta to find Merle. You are there watching them preparing. Going to Daryl you say. "Why can't I come big brother? I can help too you know." You say with your tiny voice.

"We talked about this [y/n]. You are too young." Daryl answers resisting to say any badword to you. "But I want too." You whine making your kitty eyes to make him say yes. "Final." Daryl stands his ground. "Fine. But please come back with big brother Merle." You beg. Daryl nods assuring you. You smile.


---Carl's POV---

"Dad don't go out just got here." I beg not wanting to loose him. "Sorry son but I have too." He pats my head. "Protect mom for me will you?" He asks and I nod crying. "Be strong son." He says
going to mom also saying their good byes.

You all look at departure of the group. You and Carl try to stop the tears flowing but some tears starts to flow. At the time they leave you look at Carl who also cry with you. "They'll be back. I know it." You reassure him. "I know. I trust my dad." Carl says.
